About Dave

dave-11

Dave Lefebre has been fishing professionally since 2003 when he fished both the FLW and Bassmaster Tours as a rookie. He managed to qualify for both Tour Championships (The Forrest Wood Cup and the Bassmasters Classic), The BFL All-American, and the Stren Series Championship all in that year. In his short career, Dave is already considered one of the most accomplished anglers on the FLW Tour. He won the FLW Series Angler of the Year award in it’s inaugural year (2006), and also the Stren Series Angler of the Year in that same season. He finished 2nd in the FLW Series AOY race by a single point again in 2009. His second place AOY finishes also include the Stren Northern Division AOY points twice, in 2002 and 2008.

Dave has won events at every level, The BASS Federation, the BFL, Stren Series, PAA, and FLW Tour. He has qualified for the FLW Tour Championship every year he’s competed, 7 consecutive times and has 39 FLW Outdoors Top 10’s to his credit in only 130 events.  Dave’s most recent accomplishment came in October 2009 when he won the Toyota Texas Bass Classic (PAA Championship) on Lake Conroe, TX and pocketed $250,000. His career earnings top 1.3 million dollars.

Life Heroes:

My Mom and Dad. They never doubted my drive and desire to follow my dream. They always believed in me and taught me to believe in myself, even in the tough times. Also my Grandma and Gramps (Altimus). I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them. They are the true example of good values.

Angling Hero:

There are several, but Rick Clunn tops my list. He took the time to bother with a pestering young kid after a tough tournament day. I’ll never forget that. He inspires me.

When not fishing…

I like playing and recording music, playing football in the snow with my son, Mitchell, and just relaxing at home. I can also out-shop my wife.

Personal: My family travels with me most everywhere I go. I thank God every day that he made this possible for us, because I don’t know that I could handle being away from them for weeks at a time. When we’re home we can’t wait to get back on the road, and when we’re on the road we look forward to coming home. So, I guess it’s perfect the way it is. There are many other families that travel too, so Anne, Mitchell, and little Macy have a lot of fun, probably a little too much fun. I can’t explain how awesome it is to come off the water after a tough day to their smiling faces. Thanks Anne for all you do. I love you, Dave
