We just got home from the Forrest Wood Cup in Atlanta, GA on Lake Lanier. I had a PAA event the following week, so we just got home and I'm finally getting time to catch up on things. It was a great event, tons of people that's for sure. I ended up finishing 32nd, which is really quite irritating to say the least. I was in 13th after day 1, but things just didn't go my way on day 2. I had a terrible day from beginning to end and there was simply nothing I could do about it, lol.
The FLW Tour regular season concluded this past Saturday on Lake Guntersville, AL and boy was it hot. The heat and humidity was almost unbearable for a northern boy like me, but I made it through. I finished 40th in the event, which isn’t bad, but I had the fish on my line to make the top 10 the last day and it just didn’t go very smoothly like on days 1 and 2. The good thing though is I’m qualified to fish the Forrest Wood Cup next month in Atlanta, GA. I finished the season ranked 8th in the AOY points.
Hi everyone! We have been back from Guntersville State Park for a little while now and I finally have a free minute to write! Guntersville was a lot of fun for us because it actually felt like a camping trip instead of just another week in the camper. Guntersville State Park is beautiful! The dog had a blast barking at birds, squirrels and every living creature that came in her path! Puppy school did nothing for hyper-activity. If you ever get the chance to visit Guntersville State Park I highly recommend the trip!
