11/6/08-Dave finished lucky 13th in the Stren Series Championship. Yes, a good finish, but unfortunately “Ike” made the top ten cut in 9th place and clinched an early 09 Forrest Wood Cup birth to beat Dave by a mere 11 ounces. So Dave is off to Falcon Lake, TX for the FLW Series Fish-Off for a second crack at qualifying for the 09 Cup in Pittsburgh.

11/5/08-After day 1 at Table Rock, Dave sits in 12th place, but more importantly, he leads all anglers from the Stren Northern Division. If Dave can maintain that position, he will qualify for next year’s Forrest Wood Cup in Pittsburgh, his main goal. Dave is boat 174 tomorrow and checks in at 3:50 pm. 11/4/08-Dave competes in the Stren Series Championship on Table Rock lake starting tomorrow. He drew boat # 16 and weighs in at 2:30pm. To watch the weigh-in live starting at 2:30pm Eastern time, click here!

10/26/08-The 2008 AOY standings for the FLW Series BP Eastern Division are updated, and Dave finished in 4th place! He qualified for the East/West Fish-off on Lake Falcon, TX by landing in the top 30 and will compete against Jack Thompson, the 27th place finisher from the Western Division. 10/25/08-Dave finished in 38th place at Clark Hill with 24-13 lbs. For complete Clark Hill Lake results click here!

10/24/08-After the first two days at Clark Hill, Dave sits in 32nd place with 18-1 lbs. Dave is boat 45 on day three and checks in at 3:30pm. He’ll need over 12 lbs to make the top 10 cut. Be sure to watch the Live weigh-in on flwoutdoors.com starting at 3:00pm by clicking here!

10/18/08-The FLW Series wraps up next week on Clarks Hill Lake. Dave missed two days of practice due to the last tournament but is looking forward to grinding it out on this tough fishery. Dave sits in 9th in the AOY standings and needs to stay in the top 30 to qualify for the FLW Series Fish-off on Falcon Lake in Texas, where he’ll have another early shot at an 09 Cup Birth.

10/17/08-With a 17lb sack on the final day, Dave placed 13th in the last Northern Stren event on the Potomac River and finished in 2nd to “Ike” in the final AOY standings. The two, along with 38 other Northern Division qualifiers will go head to head in the Stren Series Championship on Table Rock Lake competing for an early birth into the 2009 Forrest Wood Cup in Pittsburgh. 10/15/08-Today was the first day of the Potomac River Stren tournament. Dave had 12 pounds and sits in 31st place. You can watch the weigh-in live every day at 3:00pm on flwoutdoors.com/On Demand. See day 1 standings.
